If I Don't Find A Way To Be Happy Here - Original Watercolour Painting

I was sitting outside with my watercolours, staring at this little plant on my table, feeling a touch melancholy. I thought about the plant, how it can't go anywhere or do anything. But that also means it can't yearn for all the things it can't have. It can't spend all its time wishing it was more successful or prettier or had adequate retirement savings. It just has to figure out how to be happy, exactly where it is. And I guess when we stop deluding ourselves, that's exactly what we need to do, too.

Painted on 9"x12" watercolour paper. Signed on the back. Add a note if you want it signed on the front.

You can find 9"x12" frames around, but selection can be limited. It's often easier to use a 12"x16" frame (a standard IKEA size, super easy to find), and then use a mat to make the painting to fit.

You can buy a plain white matte from me to go with your painting, buy them elsewhere online, or get your local frame shop to cut you one.
